We created this course to fill a huge gap in the market, as the first ever neuroaffirmative supervisor course. As 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent, and traditional supervisor training doesn't cover neurodivergence, there's a major gap for those who who want to help, but don't know how. Also, we've trained over 600 ADHD & AuDHD coaches worldwide, so we want to ensure they can access safe, affirming and support aligned with our Ethical Compliance Framework throughout their careers.
No formal prerequisites are required - you don’t need prior supervision training or accreditation. However, this course is designed for professionals with existing experience working with neurodivergent people - it's not entry-level. Even if you’ve received supervision training before, this course redefines supervision from the ground up, offering a fresh, neuroaffirmative approach that you can apply immediately You can join live or access recordings later, and participants can be based anywhere in the world.
The course combines self-paced lessons with 6 x live 3-hour training sessions (scheduled for Fridays, 9am-12pm GMT, starting 15/1/26). Participants have lifetime access to all lessons. At the end of the live training period, you’ll complete a skills assessment to certify. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive your certificate and be featured on our brand new ADHD Works Supervisor Directory.
Yes! This course equips you to provide neuroaffirmative supervision to professionals or neurodivergent clients. The badge and directory listing help build credibility and visibility, and the framework gives you practical, structured guidance for delivering supervision confidently. These skills are transferable across a range of sectors, from coaching and therapy, to education and organisational practice.
As a brand-new course, it isn’t formally accredited yet, but we're aiming for CPD recognition, which will make it widely recognised by organisations that rely on CPD standards. ADHD Works is also a training provider member of the Association for Coaching and CPD, prioritising integrity, ethics, and high standards.
Yes. The 600+ ADHD and AuDHD coaches we've trained primarily work independently or as part of their roles. We may offer opportunities for a limited number of graduates to work through ADHD Works, given the high demand. Ideally, participants have completed our ADHD or AuDHD coaching courses, but this is not a strict requirement - experienced professionals from other backgrounds are welcome.
The course is led by National Specialist Coach of the Year, and founder of ADHD Works, Leanne Maskell. Leanne's a certified supervisor, having trained at Barefoot Coaching Academy, and brings extensive experience from supervising coaches both internally and externally. She's also a 5x best-selling neurodivergent author and ADDCA-certified coach, with a background in mental health and disability law. Leanne has trained organisations including Microsoft, Disney, and the World Health Organization on neurodivergence, alongside training 600+ coaches worldwide.
