What does it mean to be Neuro-Affirmative?

Include with integrity, by providing high quality support that respects, safeguards & validates the neurodivergent experience - in all areas & stages of life.

  • We view neurodivergence as differences to be understood & respected - not 'deficits' to be fixed, nor 'superpowers' to be commodified.

  • We respect, believe in & validate each individual’s lived experience—one size (or outdated diagnostic criteria) doesn’t fit all.

  • We champion neurodivergent safeguarding, autonomy & advocacy within broken, outdated & exploitative systems.

  • We accept people as they are, focusing on adapting environments to meet diverse needs - not the individual. Barriers come from society - not the human experience.

  • What will I learn?

Pick up practical, Neuro-Affirmative approaches to help make work/life easier for yourself & others. We'll take you from Neuro-Bias to Neuro-Styles in understanding how to work with the range of Neuro-Differences that underpin our unique operating systems - no disclosure necessary!

  • Who is this for?

This course is for anyone who's overwhelmed with navigating the endless stigma, contradictions, & complexities of neurodiversity. It's for those who want to understand & support themselves & others effectively in all areas of life, without the need to pathologize our differences.

  • What does it involve?

This 6 week certification involves a combination of self-paced & live lessons covering our Neuro-Affirmative Framework. It combines education on neurodevelopmental conditions, traits & experiences, with practical skills & exercises, such as navigating conflict in an RSD-friendly way.

'Why do you need a label?'

'Because there's comfort in knowing you're a normal zebra, not a strange horse. Because you can't find community with other zebras if you don't know you belong. And because it's impossible for a zebra to be happy or healthy spending its life feeling like a failed horse.'
